Regulated private medical cannabis clinics and online clinics provide specialist consultations. Consultations are carried out by, or under the supervision of, a specialist clinician. A consultation does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued.

Private and online medical cannabis clinics in the UK assess each patient individually. There is no fixed list of qualifying conditions, and a specialist clinician will consider your diagnosis, previous treatments, medical history and the available clinical evidence before deciding whether treatment is appropriate. 

Once prescribed, your medication is supplied through the regulated medicines supply chain. 

Throughout manufacture, importation, storage and dispensing, products must meet MHRA quality standards to ensure patients receive medicines that meet the required safety and quality requirements. 

Consultation fees vary between private clinics. Costs depend on the clinic, the specialist involved and the treatment pathway, so patients should check pricing directly with their chosen provider.
